"No child deserves to live on the street, The Monene Project"
Upturn Foundation is a charity aspiring to enable development projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo. To meet those aspirations the charity raises funds for projects or advises other organisations on their charitable enterprises. Currently, the charity initiated the "Monene project", aspiring to raise funds for the construction of a shelter in the capital Kinshasa. The shelter will accommodate 24 street-kids and provide them with schooling and housing facilities.
Francis Mukwayanzo is a business developer born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and living in the Netherlands. Through his start-up Upturn Generations, he connects businesses in his home country with social investors in the Netherlands.
For the realization of many of his projects, Francis collaborates with the Dutch Embassy in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Most recently, he founded Upturn Foundation to facilitate and help realize development projects between these two countries.
